Automobile InsuranceToday's automobile insurance market is highly competitive and we believe in placing our customers with companies that offer the best claim service and price for this type of market.
Types of CoverageOklahoma Law requires all automobile or motorcycle owners to carry insurance on their automobile(s). These policies typically offer 7 different coverages. Only two of these (Bodily Injury and Property Damage) are required by law. Bodily Injury Liability (required by law) For injuries the policyholder causes to someone else. The limits vary from $25,000 per accident/$50,000 per occurrence up to $250,000 per accident/$500,000 per occurrence. The insurance industry recommends $100,000 per accident/$300,000 per occurrence. Medical Payments For treatment of injuries to the driver and passengers of the policyholder's car. The limits range from $1,000 to $10,000. We recommend $5,000. Property Damage Liability (required by law) For damage the policyholder caused to someone else's property. The limits vary from $25,000 to $250,000 per occurrence. We recommend $100,000 per occurrence. Collision For damage to the policyholder's car from a collision. The collision could be with another car, a light post, fire hydrant, etc. The policyholder is required to pay the first portion of a claim. This is called a deductible. Deductibles range from $250 up to $10,000 per occurrence. Lower deductibles result in higher premiums. Therefore we recommend deductibles no less than $500. Comprehensive For damage to the policyholder's car that doesn't involve a collision with another car. Covered risks include fire, theft, falling objects, missiles, explosion, earthquake, flood, riot and civil commotion. The policyholder is required to pay the first portion of a claim. This is called a deductible. Deductibles range from $250 up to $10,000 per occurrence. Lower deductibles result in higher premiums. Therefore we recommend deductibles no less than $500. Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage For treatment of policyholder's injuries as a result of collision with an uninsured/underinsured driver. The limits vary from $25,000 per accident/$50,000 per occurrence up to $250,000 per accident/$500,000 per occurrence. The insurance industry recommends $100,000 per accident/$300,000 per occurrence. Rental &/Or Towing Rental insurance offers a set amount of rental car coverage if your car is disabled by a covered loss. Towing insurance will pay up for a towing bill up to a set amount if your car is disabled by a covered loss. In addition to the coverages listed above, you may want to consider Customized Vehicle, and Non-owned Automobile Coverage as well as a comprehensive Umbrella Policy.
